Paramedics rewarded for road safety services
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) recently paid tribute to two staff members for their contribution to road safety activities.
Paramedic Neil Kendrick and Emergency Medical Technician Mark Heinsen were jointly nominated in the Accident and Emergency Person of the Year category of the LAS's annual awards. Both Neil and Mark have provided the LSCP with invaluable support at various road safety events and educational activities.
Christine Fitzgerald, Road Safety Communications Manager at the LSCP, said "We are delighted that the good work that Neil and Mark have contributed to the field of road safety has been recognised through the winning of this award. The LSCP works with community stakeholders, like the LAS, on various events and educational activities and I am pleased to see the LAS recognising the importance of road safety in this way".
